PRESS RELEASE
Embassy of India in Algeria in collaboration with Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique (National Higher Agronomic School)organized an event at the School premises on 8 August 2024 under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ which has been launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi on June 05, 2024 to commemorate the World Environment Day.
Chargé d'Affaires informed the attendees about the campaign of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and requested all the Algerian brothers and sisters to plant a tree in the coming days as a tribute to the mother earth. He signed the Golden book in the school as a mark of gratitude.
Professor Hartani Tarik, Director, Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique highlighted the importance of environmental sustainability and discussed the potential areas of cooperation between the School and the Indian Universities in the field of Agriculture with Chargé d'affaires . A tour of the University was given to the Embassy officials.
A Cycas tree was planted by the representatives of Government of Algeria, Embassy of India in Algeria and Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique. Indian diaspora and friends of India also participated in the event.
Serving of the Indian snacks marked the conclusion of the event.
