The 5th round of India-Algeria Foreign Office Consultations on 07 May, 2015

The 5th round of India-Algeria FOCs was held in New Delhi on 7 May, 2015. The Indian side was led by Shri Sandeep Kumar, JS (WANA), MEA, and included DS (FT-WANA), Minister of Commerce. The Algerian side was led by Amb Mr. Boumediene Guennad, Director General (Asia Oceania) in the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs who was accompanied by Algerian Ambassador in India, Mr Hamza Yahi-Cherif. JS(WANA) took up the issue recent decree issued by Algerian Government for import of automobiles in Algeria which adversely affect export of automobiles from India and said there should be lead time of 3-5 years for implementation of this decision. He also took up the issue of IRCON and pending agreements with Algeria.
